The eight institutes belonging to the Forschungsverbund Berlin were able to increase their DFG funding significantly.
Within the framework of the DFG Funding Atlas 2012, which refers to the years 2008 to 2010, the institutes belonging to the Forschungsverbund Berlin (FVB) were able to increase their DFG funding by more than 40%. In total, the eight institutes receive more than 23.6 million euros of funding from DFG funds, while in the years 2005 to 2007 funding only amounted to 16.8 million euros.
The Weierstrass Institute for Applied Analysis and Stochastics (WIAS) is the main receiver of DFG funding with 6.4 million euros for extramural mathematics and was able to increase its DFG funding by more than 50%, as did the Leibniz Institute for Molecular Pharmacology (FMP), which received 8.4 million euros of DFG funding during the reporting period.
