Chorafas Prize awarded to Neysha Lobo Ploch

Dr. Neysha Lobo Ploch has been awarded with the renowned Dimitri N. Chorafas Prize for her thesis entitled “chip designs for high efficiency III-nitride based ultraviolet light emitting diodes with enhanced light extraction”.

Dr. Neysha Lobo Ploch has been awarded with the renowned Dimitri N. Chorafas Prize for her thesis entitled “chip designs for high efficiency III-nitride based ultraviolet light emitting diodes with enhanced light extraction”.

This award is assigned to outstanding work in selected fields in the engineering sciences, medicine and the natural sciences. It rewards research characterized by its high potential for practical application and by the special significance attached to its aftermath. The Chorafas Foundation honors every year graduates from 25 selected international universities including ETH Zuerich, MIT, and Tokyo Institute of Technology. In 2016, 32 people worldwide have received the credit, among them seven women.
