Dialogue

The research undertaken at individual FVB institutes is of particular relevance to specific partners, such as non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and associations, as well as special groups of persons.

The instruments used to transfer knowledge and information to such interest groups includes advisory services, dialogue and discussion formats, as well as the conveying of skills and competencies. The institutes act as neutral presenters and information brokers in social controversies, taking passion out of debates and helping to develop solutions. The institutes themselves benefit from interacting with stakeholders by gaining fresh impetus for relevant research.

The following FVB institutes include dialogue and discussion formats in their work:

  • Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries (IGB)
  • Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research (IZW)
