Welker Award for Henning Riechert

Henning Riechert, former Director of PDI, receives the Welker Award in recognition of his contributions in the field of compound semiconductors.

Henning Riechert, former Director of PDI (until December 2019) and Professor of Physics at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, receives the Welker Award in recognition of his contributions to the development of molecular beam epitaxy and III-V Laser/LED technologies and providing leadership to the field of compound semiconductor research. The prize, which is supported by OSRAM Opto Semiconductors GmbH, will be awarded at Compound Semiconductor Week in Stockholm next year.
